Further, the inclusive approach adopted by Allan Glens encourages and develops a range of life-skills including; confidence, resilience and leadership skills.
Developing our players
To support all those who want to learn and play rugby, all our coaches are SRU qualified and attend dedicated coaching development sessions to update their qualifications. The club employs a Rugby Development Officer who oversees coaching sessions with the children and young players within our Academy section.
Our Age Groups
The season officially commences in August and lasts until late May, in effect the school year. Training for the older Mini and Midi section takes place midweek and on a Sunday (unless there are matches). We aim to train outdoor for as long as we can, however, indoor training is a feature during January and February.
The majority of matches from P1-3 up to S2 are friendly matches, including festivals and tournaments.
Our Under 15’s, 16’s and 18’s enter regional leagues with competitive matches and cup competitions.
Our senior teams compete in national and league and cup competitions.
